Welcome to Athena Research Consultants

Preserving Stories. Protecting Legacies. Planning for the Future.

At Athena Research Consultants, we believe history isn’t just about what’s been, it’s also about what’s next.

Since 1996, ARC has helped communities and clients preserve their history, advocate for meaningful preservation, and connect people to places important to them. We manage a range of projects, from historical collections preservation to historic building and site surveys for the National Register, Section 106, and more. At ARC, we believe all forms of historic preservation should be inclusive, accessible, and community-focused.

We enjoy researching, interpreting, and communicating history in all its complexity. Whether you’re looking to explore the story of a building, trace the legacy of a community, or dive deep into a specific historical topic, we will document your story with care, clarity, and purpose.

Let’s make history matter together.
